Six new spells for Wandering Towers, in one pack

Your group has worn through the base spells. The Fill Potion Bottle move has lost its surprise. Everyone knows the rondel by heart. The good news is Capstone has bundled three previously-separate mini-expansions into one Spell Pack, which means a fresh deck of spell variations to drop into your next game without learning a single new rule.

The Spell Pack collects spell content originally published as three separate Wandering Towers Mini-Expansions. The first two each added two new Magic Spells, and Mini-Expansion 3 included Fill a Potion Bottle and Extra Die Roll. The combined pack gives your base game six new spells worth of variety in a single box, mix-and-matchable with the existing eight base spells.

What makes this expansion work is that it does not change the core game. The path is the same. The towers move the same way. You still win by getting your wizards to Ravenskeep with full potion bottles. The Spell Pack just gives you more options for what to do on each turn, which keeps the base game fresh once it has been played enough times to feel familiar.

This is for Wandering Towers fans whose group has played enough sessions that the base spell variety has started to feel predictable. New players should stick with the base game for a while before adding this; the eight base spells are the right level of choice for a first dozen plays.

Requires Wandering Towers (base game) to play. The Spell Pack ships with cards only, no other components.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many players can play with the Spell Pack?
Same as the base game: 1 to 6 players. The Spell Pack does not change player count, only the available spell variety.
How long does a game of Wandering Towers with the Spell Pack take?
Plan for 20 to 45 minutes, slightly longer than the base game alone if you are using a lot of new spells. The pack does not add length on its own; the variability of spell choices is what extends consideration time.
Do I need Wandering Towers to play the Spell Pack?
Yes. The Spell Pack is an expansion, not a stand-alone game. The Wandering Towers base game is required.
Is the Spell Pack the same as the Mini-Expansions 1, 2, and 3?
Effectively yes, in one box. The Spell Pack collects the spell content from all three previously-separate Mini-Expansions. If you already own one or more of the original mini-expansions, you may have some duplicate cards. If you own none of them, the Spell Pack is the simplest way to get all six expansion spells at once.
When should I add the Spell Pack to my Wandering Towers games?
After you have played the base game enough times that the eight base spells start to feel familiar, usually after 5 to 10 sessions. The Spell Pack adds variety without complexity, so it does not extend the learning curve.
Is the Spell Pack a 2026 release?
Yes. The bundled Spell Pack itself is new for 2026, though the spell content was originally published across three earlier mini-expansions. This is the first time all the expansion spells are available in one product.
