Place your bets. Start the screaming.
Someone's got $100 on the hot dog man, and that feels like the right call. Hot Streak is a betting and racing game where all your smart decisions happen before the race even starts — after that, you just watch and scream.
For 2–9 players, Hot Streak works like this: before each race, everyone secretly bets on which of four absurd mascots will finish where. You draft bets and side wagers, pick your spots, and then the race plays itself out through a deck of cards and a pull-out racetrack. No more decisions once it begins — just outcomes.
That's the brilliance of it. The strategy is real, but once the cards start flipping it's completely out of your hands, which means you get all the satisfaction of planning and all the chaos of watching your hot dog man sprint into a lead and then inexplicably stumble three cards from the finish.
This is the game for game nights where not everyone plays games. At 20 minutes and ages 6 and up, it works anywhere — birthday parties, holiday tables, after-dinner chaos with whoever stuck around. Large groups especially shine here; five or six players means five or six people all rooting for different mascots and making each other's lives difficult.
It won the 2025 Golden Geek Best Party Game award, and if you play it once you'll understand exactly why.
