Who We Are

Owners: Ronald and Kasey Oldham

Ronald has been a game enthusiast for over 30 years! Of table-top board games that is, not electronic games! Some of his favorite games are: Risk, Cranium's Cadoo, Monopoly, and Chess. Ronald also has a passion for table-top miniature war gaming (i.e. 15 mm), specializing in military history that started when he was a boy playing with toy soldiers! That interest expanded to include Dungeons & Dragons and other role playing games and strategic board games.

Ronald and his family also enjoy playing games together. The Oldham's have a weekly Family Game night that is not only fun for the family, but helps teach the children game etiquette, social skills, and is both educational and entertaining.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF)

The Oldham's are active in spreading awareness of type 1 diabetes in the community. Their son was diagnosed with this chronic, auto-immune, life-long and life threatening disease when he was 4 years old. They actively support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and their mission - To find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.

The Game Connection is a proud partner and sponsor with the Triangle/Eastern North Carolina chapter of JDRF. On the 20th of each month, a percentage of gross sales will be donated to JDRF until a cure is found! Please join us in helping provide "freedom" to those afflicted with diabetes.

Triangle Simulation Society (TSS)

Ronald is a member of the Triangle Simulation Society (TSS) here in the Triangle area. This is an organization whose members promote historical miniature wargaming. TSS welcomes curious or interested people who either want to watch or partake in a war game. The Game Connection has a calendar of TSS events available.

Ronald and Kasey have lived in Eastern Wake County for 12 years, and hope that you will "Play a game and connect with family and friends!"

Come on by and let's play a game!
